Join DataShare Santa Cruz County for a conversation about harnessing local data to foster Lifelong Learning & Education (one of the eight CORE Conditions for Health & Well-being) so that all community members in Santa Cruz County experience high-quality education and learning opportunities from birth to end of life.
We will explore local, regional, state and national data in the CORE Results Menu on DataShare in order to gather insights, identify trends, and make meaning of data in these Lifelong Learning & Education impact areas:
Equitable access to high-quality education and learning opportunities
Quality of education and learning opportunities and environments
Participation in education and learning opportunities
Skills & educational achievement
Educational attainment & workforce readiness
In this interactive session, participants will be asked to share their perspectives on these questions:
What “stories” do the selected indicators tell about the assets of people/places in our communities?
What questions could (or should) we be asking about bias, limits, and context of the data?
What programs, practices, and policies exist (or are needed) to create the conditions for optimal Lifelong Learning & Education for all community members across the lifespan?
How could we build on the available data to measure change, learn what works, and assess our collective impact?
This is the second session in an 8-part community conversation designed to dive into the data that can help people identify community strengths and needs, set goals for community well-being, track progress, and connect strategies across the CORE Conditions for Health and Well-being.
Watch the recording of the May 31 session on Health & Wellness in English or Spanish.
