Join DataShare Santa Cruz County and CORE Investments for a community conversation about harnessing local data to foster Thriving Families and Community Connectedness (two of the eight CORE Conditions for Health & Well-being) so that all community members in Santa Cruz County experience
Safe, nurturing relationships and environments that promote optimal health and well-being of all family members across generations and
A sense of belonging, diverse and inclusive neighborhoods.
We will explore local, regional, state and national data in the CORE Results Menu on DataShare in order to gather insights, identify trends, and make meaning of data in the Thriving Families and Community Connectedness impact areas:
Increased resilience of children, youth, adults, and older and dependent adults
Connection to others
Access to diverse community arts and cultural experiences
Increased civic engagement
In this interactive session, participants will be asked to share their perspectives on these questions:
What “stories” do the selected indicators tell about the assets of people/places in our communities?
What’s missing? What questions could (or should) we be asking about bias, limits, and context of the data?
What programs, practices, and policies exist (or are needed) to create the conditions for Thriving Families and Community Connectedness?
How could we build on the available data to measure change, learn what works, and assess our collective impact?
This is the fourth session in an 8-part community conversation designed to dive into the data that can help people identify community strengths and needs, set goals for community well-being, track progress, and connect strategies across the CORE Conditions for Health and Well-being.
